Global superstar group BTS continues to dominate the international music scene with the massive success of their latest album ARIRANG and its title track “SWIM.”

According to the latest Billboard charts dated May 16, BTS once again proved its unmatched global influence as “SWIM” reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. The song also ranked No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, maintaining strong momentum seven weeks after release.
The achievement is especially notable because “SWIM” climbed one position compared to the previous week, showing that the song’s popularity continues to grow rather than slow down. All 13 vocal tracks from ARIRANG have now remained on the Global Excl. U.S. chart for seven consecutive weeks, highlighting the album’s worldwide appeal.
On Billboard’s main album chart, the Billboard 200, ARIRANG ranked No. 7 this week, successfully staying inside the Top 10 for seven straight weeks. Meanwhile, “SWIM” also continued its steady rise on the Hot 100, climbing two spots to No. 30 and extending its run on the chart to seven consecutive weeks.

Beyond the major charts, BTS also delivered impressive performances across multiple Billboard sub-charts. ARIRANG held onto No. 4 on the Top Album Sales chart while also ranking No. 14 on Top Streaming Albums and No. 8 on Vinyl Albums, proving the group’s strength in both digital and physical sales markets.
“SWIM” additionally showed strong radio appeal in the United States. The song charted at No. 13 on Pop Airplay, No. 16 on Adult Contemporary, No. 16 on Adult Pop Airplay, and No. 30 on Radio Songs, signaling that the track is resonating with a broad mainstream audience.
BTS’s long-lasting catalog power also remained evident on Billboard’s World Albums chart, where five of the group’s albums charted simultaneously. Their anthology album Proof stayed at No. 4 in its 204th week on the chart, while MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~ ranked No. 10. Other fan-favorite albums including LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear’, 화양연화 Young Forever, and LOVE YOURSELF 承 ‘HER’ also continued charting, further demonstrating the group’s enduring popularity years after release.
At the same time, BTS is currently in the middle of its highly successful ARIRANG world tour across North America. The group is scheduled to perform 31 shows in 12 cities, drawing massive crowds and generating enormous economic impact wherever they go.

The scale of the tour has become such a phenomenon that global media outlets have begun referring to it as “BTSnomics.” According to reports from Reuters, the tour’s projected revenue is expected to reach approximately $1.8 billion USD, equivalent to around 2.7 trillion Korean won.
Industry experts say the group’s influence extends far beyond music sales and ticket revenue, affecting tourism, local businesses, transportation, hotels, and merchandise sales in every city visited during the tour.
BTS is set to continue the North American leg of the ARIRANG tour with performances at Stanford Stadium in the United States on May 16, 17, and 19.

With both chart dominance and record-breaking tour revenue, BTS continues to prove why they remain one of the most powerful acts in global entertainment today.
