Actor Song Jin-woo has left fans and viewers laughing after boldly claiming that he managed to “beat” BTS’ Jung Kook in an unexpected airport fashion showdown.

The hilarious story will be featured on SBS’ Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny, where Song Jin-woo and his Japanese wife, Minami, are set to return with another episode packed with their famously unpredictable chemistry.

During the latest filming, the couple reportedly had the entire studio in chaos from the moment they arrived. Song Jin-woo and Minami spent the early hours singing, dancing and impersonating different voices, creating the kind of energetic Korean-Japanese comedy that has become their trademark.

Minami also revealed a surprising side of her past, shocking everyone by declaring that she was once a “real Gyaru.” She is expected to show photos from her younger days, revealing a dramatically different appearance from the image viewers know today.

But Song Jin-woo ultimately stole the spotlight with an airport story of his own.

During the summer vacation, Minami and her family planned to spend an entire month in Japan. Song Jin-woo therefore accompanied them to the airport to see them off.

What should have been an ordinary family farewell quickly turned into a spectacle because of the actor’s outfit.

Song Jin-woo, who proudly considers himself something of a fashionista, apparently arrived wearing an extremely bold airport look that immediately attracted attention from people around him.

According to the preview, people at the airport could be heard commenting on how everyone seemed to be looking at him.

Rather than becoming embarrassed, Song Jin-woo apparently interpreted the attention as proof that his fashion was working.

Song Jin-woo reportedly discovered that Jung Kook was also at the airport around the same time and confidently declared:

“I beat Jung Kook.”

The absurdly confident statement reportedly sent the studio into laughter.

Of course, there was no actual competition between the two stars. But in Song Jin-woo’s own logic, simply appearing at the same airport while attracting attention was enough to declare himself the winner.

The unexpected comparison is particularly funny considering Jung Kook is widely recognized as one of the most influential stars in Korean fashion, with his airport appearances frequently attracting enormous attention from fans and media around the world.

Song Jin-woo, meanwhile, appears to have decided that confidence is all that matters.
