A crossover between Dutton Ranch and Marshals is looking more likely than ever—not because it has been officially announced, but because nearly everyone involved with the Yellowstone franchise appears to want it.

Following weeks of fan speculation, Dutton Ranch stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser have once again voiced their enthusiasm for bringing Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler back together with Kayce Dutton.

The renewed excitement comes after the Marshals Season 1 finale set up what many viewers believe is the perfect opportunity for the two series to collide. In the closing moments of the season, Kayce’s son Tate is kidnapped and taken to Texas, immediately fueling theories that the storyline could intersect with the events of Dutton Ranch.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hauser made it clear that he would welcome the reunion.

“I would love it,” he said, explaining that Luke Grimes remains one of his closest friends.

Reilly shared the same excitement.

“Yes, I would love for Beth to meet up with Kayce,” she said. “I would love an episode like that. That would be really special.”

She even joked that Beth and Rip should take a road trip back to Montana, although many fans believe the opposite scenario now makes more sense, with Kayce likely heading to Texas in search of Tate.

Beyond simply reuniting beloved characters, Hauser believes there’s unfinished business between Rip and Kayce.

Throughout Yellowstone, the pair shared one of the franchise’s most complicated relationships. Although they respected each other, their bond was frequently overshadowed by conflict, disagreements, and even physical fights.

“I would like to see Rip and Kayce get along for a change,” Hauser admitted. “A little peace.”

That comment has resonated with longtime viewers, many of whom feel the two characters never fully resolved their differences before Yellowstone ended.

The enthusiasm isn’t limited to the stars of Dutton Ranch.

Marshals showrunner Spencer Hudnut previously acknowledged that bringing Beth and Rip into his series would be “pretty cool,” while also saying that the Yellowstone audience deserves to see Kayce reunited with his sister at some point.

Luke Grimes has also publicly supported the idea.

According to the actor, he and Reilly have already discussed the possibility behind the scenes.

“We both think it would be very fun,” Grimes said. “We miss each other. Beyond that, we think it’d be good for the story.”

Perhaps most intriguingly, Grimes hinted that a crossover feels more like a matter of timing than possibility.

“I have a feeling it will happen at some point,” he said. “I don’t know if it will be on our show or their show, but we’re definitely open to it.”

Those comments have only intensified speculation among fans.

From a business standpoint, the idea also makes considerable sense.

Both Dutton Ranch and Marshals have already been renewed for second seasons after delivering strong ratings for Paramount. A crossover event would allow the studio to combine two of its biggest television successes while bringing together some of the franchise’s most recognizable characters.

Many fans also believe a crossover could help strengthen Marshals, which has received a more divided critical response than Dutton Ranch. By featuring Beth and Rip alongside Kayce once again, Paramount could create one of the franchise’s biggest television events since the conclusion of Yellowstone.

For now, Paramount has made no official announcement about a crossover.

However, with Reilly, Hauser, Grimes, and Hudnut all publicly expressing interest—and the Season 1 finale of Marshals naturally steering the story toward Texas—the possibility appears stronger than ever.

While fans continue waiting for confirmation, one thing has become increasingly clear: the people making the Yellowstone universe seem just as eager for Beth, Rip, and Kayce to share the screen again as the audience is.
