Recently, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon once again drew attention for his social media activity after liking a post by his junior, Karina from the group aespa. On the 27th, Karina uploaded a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the trailer of her second full-length album, “Lemonade,” on Instagram.
In the photos, Karina appeared in a striking white full-body suit that highlighted her flawless figure and signature visuals. The clean, futuristic styling perfectly matched her image, quickly gaining praise from fans for its elegance and bold concept. As the post gained traction, fans noticed that G-Dragon had left a “like,” sparking immediate buzz across online communities.
The interaction drew even more attention due to their prior connection. Karina had previously appeared in the music video for “Too Bad,” a track from G-Dragon’s third studio album, Übermensch. Their collaboration had already been well received, and this small social media gesture further fueled discussions among fans about their relationship—whether it’s simply senior-junior support or something more.
G-Dragon, often nicknamed the “Like Fairy” by fans, is known for frequently liking posts from various artists without any particular pattern. Because of this, while some fans speculated about deeper meaning, others pointed out that his likes are usually spontaneous and simply a way of showing casual support.

Regarding this, G-Dragon once opened up about his Instagram “like” habits during an appearance on Big Bang member Daesung’s YouTube channel Jipdaeseong last February. He explained that what initially began as a simple way to promote himself gradually turned into something more meaningful as he noticed the incredible creativity of his fans. Many of them, often referred to as having “golden hands,” continuously produce impressive fan art, edits, and content dedicated to him. Out of appreciation for their effort and support, he started liking their posts more frequently as a way to acknowledge them.
He went on to share that fans genuinely seem to feel happy and encouraged whenever they receive a like from him. Because of that, he treats the action almost like a small message of motivation, joking that it’s his way of telling them to “keep working hard” and continue creating. According to him, there’s no strict rule or standard behind what he likes—he simply scrolls and taps whenever he has a free moment. Sometimes, he even does it so much that he humorously claimed it feels like his fingerprints are wearing out.
When his close friend Lee Soo-hyuk pointed out that this habit can sometimes lead to accidental likes or misunderstandings, G-Dragon didn’t deny it. Instead, he laughed it off, admitting that he does make mistakes quite often. His lighthearted response added to the charm of the situation, showing that despite his global fame, he still interacts with fans in a very casual and human way.
