Singer Hwasa said that dating is difficult for her.

On the 6th, a video featuring Mamamoo member Hwasa as a guest was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Kim Young-ok.”

In the video, Hwasa said, “I have two older sisters. I am the youngest of three daughters.” Kim Young-ok replied, “You are blessed. In the old days, people said that if you had daughters, they would bring things home and make the family rich, but if you had only sons, they would bring in guilt.”

Hwasa also laughed and said, “My sisters are all married, and all of my nieces are girls. We were so happy to be three daughters. So my sisters and I used to say, ‘We are definitely going to have three daughters.’ But my older sister said it would be hard. So I told her, ‘Unnie, I will have three daughters.'”

Kim Young-ok asked Hwasa whether she had ever dated anyone, and Hwasa answered, “No, I have dated before.”

Kim Young-ok then asked, “But? Was he a bad guy?” Hwasa replied, “No. Dating is still very hard for me. Why is it so hard?”

Kim Young-ok said, “In our day, even holding hands made us think we would marry that person. But these days, dating around and seeing many people is not a bad thing. You date, and if it does not work out, you break up. If it is good, you get married.”

Hwasa was previously swept up in dating rumors in 2023, saying she had been in a relationship with a businessman 12 years older than her for five years. At the time, her agency said in an official statement that it was difficult to confirm because it was her private life.

Hwasa also appeared on the YouTube channel “Naraesik” last year with model Han Hye-jin and hinted at a breakup by saying, “Are not the three of us all single now?”

Meanwhile, Mamamoo, the group Hwasa belongs to, will make a full-group comeback in June to mark its 12th debut anniversary.
