Fans are feeling emotional after V shared a surprisingly melancholy Instagram story following BTS’s final concert in Las Vegas.

The post featured fireworks lighting up the Las Vegas skyline while V looked out over the city from above. What immediately caught fans’ attention, however, was the caption:
“I’m [in] BTS too, but it feels like everyone is having fun, except me.”

Although the message may have been written jokingly or casually, many fans interpreted it as unexpectedly lonely and bittersweet — especially given V’s personality and public image within BTS.
Among fans, V is often seen as one of the group’s most social and adventurous members. He’s known for spontaneously exploring cities, visiting art galleries, meeting friends, and embracing new experiences while on tour. Because of that, many ARMYs were saddened by the idea that he might have felt isolated while the rest of the group or staff enjoyed Vegas differently.

Online reactions quickly turned emotional, with fans describing the caption as giving off a subtle “left out” feeling. Some interpreted it as V wishing he could freely explore and enjoy the city more openly rather than being confined by security, schedules, or idol life.
Others pointed out how emotionally loaded even small comments from BTS members tend to become because fans are hyper-aware of how exhausting the group’s comeback era has been following military service.
The post also arrives during a period where fans have become especially sensitive to the members’ emotional states. Since BTS reunited after enlistment, conversations around burnout, pressure, loneliness, and adjustment have surfaced repeatedly through livestreams, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.

Some fans therefore saw V’s caption as another glimpse into the emotional complexity of returning to global superstardom after years of upheaval.
At the same time, many fans cautioned against overanalyzing the post too deeply. A number of ARMYs argued that V has always had a dry, teasing sense of humor online and may simply have been joking about feeling bored while watching everyone else party in Las Vegas.

Still, the emotional reaction spread quickly because of how attached fans are to V’s expressive personality. Even a short caption was enough to spark thousands of comments from fans saying they wanted him to feel included, happy, and able to enjoy himself freely.
The moment also reflects something longtime BTS fans often talk about:
Despite being one of the biggest celebrities in the world, the members can still appear surprisingly isolated at times — especially in environments where security, fame, and schedules limit how normally they can experience places like Las Vegas.
For many fans, that contrast is exactly why V’s simple caption hit so hard.
