Singer Park Bom, formerly of the group 2NE1, has bowed her head about a month after she made a series of drug-related accusations against fellow member Sandara Park. In a handwritten letter, Park Bom tried to contain the fallout, asking that the matter be treated as if it had never happened.

On the 17th, Park Bom posted a long handwritten letter on her social networking service (SNS), saying, “There is something I really need to say.” She went on, “I’m writing this thinking it will truly be the last time,” and added, “It may sound out of the blue, but please hear me out first.”

She mentioned the 2NE1 members one by one. About leader CL, she called her “a god of performance” and said, “She is a very cool person, someone who pulls everything off in a cool way.” Speaking about Minzy, she noted that she is “the granddaughter of Gong Ok-jin” and praised her as “a dance god.” Park Bom added, “Even I find her amazing. When we are on stage, I sometimes smile just from feeling proud of her,” expressing her affection.

She also spoke about Sandara Park, about whom she had recently raised drug allegations. Referring to her as “my Sandara,” Park Bom said, “I was originally her fan. She is so pretty. Within the team, she brings harmony and handles vocals.” She continued, “She always faces people with a smiling expression,” conveying her gratitude.

Park Bom drew attention when she wrote, “I hope my feelings are conveyed,” and added, “To be honest, I’m writing this because I would like you to treat that whole story about drugs as something that never happened.”

She went on, “It feels like such a waste. The fact that the four of us met is a miracle. Because there is a big age gap and it is something that should have been impossible, I’m writing this letter. I was so grateful that you all cherished and supported us so dearly.”

Previously, in March, Park Bom had raised “drug allegations” against Sandara Park on SNS. At the time, she claimed that her former agency had turned her into a drug addict in order to cover up Sandara Park’s drug-related crime.

As the controversy grew, Sandara Park directly denied using drugs via SNS, writing, “I hope she stays healthy.” Later, when Sandara Park unfollowed Park Bom’s SNS account, many interpreted it as effectively cutting ties with her.
