A new controversy has emerged involving EVAN, the artist formerly known as Heeseung, after one of his alleged friends and production collaborators was accused by fans of subtly mocking ENHYPEN on social media.

The situation began shortly after EVAN released his debut solo single, “Ride or Die,” his first official project since departing ENHYPEN. While the release generated significant attention, reactions have been mixed, with some fans debating its commercial performance and others criticizing aspects of his early solo promotions.

Now, attention has shifted away from the music itself and toward producer Apro, who has reportedly worked with both ENHYPEN and EVAN.

Apro previously participated in production work connected to ENHYPEN’s song “Knife” and has also been credited for involvement in aspects of EVAN’s solo debut. Among fans, he has developed a reputation as someone close to EVAN and occasionally known for teasing spoilers online.

The controversy erupted when Apro posted an Instagram Story featuring four dashes with only the middle two letters visible. Some fans interpreted the post as spelling “EVAN” while intentionally omitting “EN.” Because ENHYPEN is often stylized with “EN-” branding, some viewers immediately speculated that the missing letters were a deliberate reference to the group.

The situation intensified after Apro reportedly liked another social media post that pointed out the missing “EN” and questioned whether it was a hidden spoiler.

What might otherwise have been dismissed as a harmless joke quickly turned into a heated debate online. Critics argued that the post appeared to take a subtle jab at ENHYPEN, while others accused fans of reading too much into a vague social media update.

As screenshots spread across social media platforms, some users directed their frustration not only toward Apro but also toward EVAN himself. Because of their reported friendship and professional relationship, a number of fans speculated that EVAN might share similar feelings toward his former group.

However, many other fans pushed back against those assumptions, arguing that there is currently no evidence linking EVAN to the post or suggesting he was involved in any alleged criticism of ENHYPEN. They emphasized that the controversy centers entirely on interpretations of Apro’s social media activity rather than any statement made by EVAN himself.
