SUPER JUNIOR member Lee Dong-hae, better known as Donghae, gave fans a frightening moment during the Hong Kong stop of his first solo concert tour, Alive, after suddenly collapsing on stage in the middle of a performance.

The incident occurred on June 28 during the second of two scheduled concerts in Hong Kong. Donghae was performing his song “Help!” when he unexpectedly appeared to lose control due to severe pain. After jumping as part of the choreography, the singer suddenly dropped to his knees before attempting to continue the performance despite his obvious discomfort.
As the pain intensified, Donghae was eventually forced to lie flat on the stage while staff members rushed to his aid. Moments later, the performance was temporarily halted as crew members carefully helped him leave the stage, leaving thousands of worried fans watching in silence.

Videos of the incident quickly spread across social media, with fans expressing concern over the singer’s condition and hoping the injury was not serious.
Fortunately, the concert did not end there.
After a short break, Donghae returned to the stage, this time seated in a chair so he could continue interacting with fans. Although still visibly emotional, the veteran idol apologized repeatedly for interrupting the concert, even becoming tearful as he addressed the audience.
Donghae told fans he suffers from a herniated disc, explaining that the chronic back condition suddenly flared up during the performance and caused intense pain. He apologized for what he described as “ruining” the concert experience, despite fans immediately reassuring him that his health was far more important than the show itself.

Even while recovering, Donghae managed to lighten the atmosphere with a few jokes, earning loud cheers from the audience. His determination to return to the stage despite the injury drew admiration from concertgoers, many of whom applauded his professionalism and dedication.
The emotional exchange quickly became one of the most talked-about moments among SUPER JUNIOR fans, with many praising Donghae for putting fans first while also urging him to prioritize his recovery.
Fortunately, the singer now has some time before the next leg of the Alive tour begins. His upcoming performances are scheduled for later dates across Asia, with the tour expected to conclude in Macau in mid-August.
Fans are now hoping Donghae will take advantage of the break to receive proper treatment and avoid worsening his back condition. Herniated discs can cause recurring episodes of severe pain, especially during physically demanding performances involving dancing and jumping.
Annie said that during "HELP," Donghae was about to stand up when his back suddenly started hurting. After that, he stayed lying down for quite a while, it turned out he was enduring the pain. His manager and the staff immediately rushed over to him, and the concert was paused… pic.twitter.com/1OSYkhsgeq

Messages of support have continued pouring in across social media, with many fans encouraging the singer not to feel guilty for stopping the concert.
For many, the incident served as another reminder of the physical demands K-pop idols face while maintaining packed touring schedules. While Donghae’s decision to return and finish the show demonstrated his commitment to fans, supporters overwhelmingly agreed that his long-term health should remain the top priority.
With several weeks remaining before his next scheduled concerts, fans are optimistic that the SUPER JUNIOR star will be able to rest, recover fully, and return to the stage healthy for the remainder of his solo tour.
