The actor attended a press conference in Seoul to promote his upcoming variety show Bonjour Bakery, a program designed to bring comfort and healing to elderly residents by opening a dessert café in a rural village.

Despite mounting curiosity from the press, Kim chose not to directly respond to the accusations. Instead, he shifted the focus toward his work and the message behind the show.

“This is a program about giving and receiving healing,” he said. “It’s meaningful, and I worked very hard on it. Because it centers on elderly people, we approached it with the mindset that they are the main characters.”

His response, while composed, notably avoided any clarification regarding the tax evasion claims. His agency had previously denied the allegations outright, but the actor himself remained silent on specifics during the event.

Interestingly, several colleagues and staff members stepped forward to defend him, offering glimpses into his character behind the scenes. Co-star Kim Ranju described how the actor took initiative to make elderly participants feel more comfortable.

“When some of them hesitated to enter because the space felt unfamiliar, Kim Seon Ho approached them first,” she shared. “Thanks to him, that barrier was lowered.”

Veteran actress Kim Hee Ae also praised his professionalism, noting a contrast between his gentle public image and his assertive leadership on set. “He may appear soft-spoken, but when working, he shows strong direction and presence,” she said.

While his silence on the allegations leaves questions unanswered, the unified support from colleagues suggests that his reputation within the industry remains largely intact—for now.

Fellow cast members and the team continued to defend Kim Seon Ho.

Kim Ranju stated, “The space must’ve been difficult for the grandmothers, and so when they hesitated to enter, Kim Seon Ho approached them first. Thanks to him, the barrier for the elderly to enter was lowered.”
