The ongoing controversy surrounding Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron has taken another dramatic turn after new details from an alleged police warrant application surfaced online.

According to reports from Korean media outlet JoongAng Ilbo, investigators from the Seoul Gangnam Police Station concluded that multiple pieces of evidence previously released by Kim Se Ui were manipulated or fabricated.

The police reportedly stated in their arrest warrant application that Kim Se Ui knowingly spread false information claiming Kim Soo Hyun had dated Kim Sae Ron while she was still a minor.

Investigators allegedly argued that the information was distributed intentionally for financial gain, including generating YouTube revenue and online attention.

The report claims police examined messenger screenshots that Kim Se Ui previously presented as evidence of a relationship between the two stars dating back to 2016.

According to the investigation, authorities believe several parts of the conversations had been altered, including changing the name of the person in the chat to Kim Soo Hyun despite the original identity allegedly being unverified.

Police reportedly concluded that the materials were manipulated in a way designed to make the conversations appear authentic.

The controversy escalated even further after investigators allegedly determined that audio recordings previously released by Kim Se Ui’s side may also have been altered using AI technology.

The case has now become one of the biggest entertainment scandals in South Korea this year, with public reaction growing increasingly intense online.

The report additionally stated that the bereaved family’s legal representative was registered with investigative authorities alongside Kim Se Ui. According to police, investigators believe materials connected to the accusations were distributed in an organized and coordinated manner.

Kim Soo Hyun’s legal representative, attorney Ko Sang Rok, commented publicly that Kim Soo Hyun’s side had not filed a complaint against the family’s lawyer directly, suggesting investigative authorities independently decided to treat the lawyer as a suspect in the case.

According to the warrant application, police also expressed concern about the impact the controversy has allegedly had on Kim Soo Hyun personally and professionally.

Investigators reportedly stated that the scandal caused severe damage to the actor’s reputation, career activities, and social standing. The document additionally claimed Kim Soo Hyun is currently receiving psychiatric treatment and warned that continued circulation of false information could result in “serious irreparable harm.”
