ONLY ONE EPISODE LEFT, AND DUTTON RANCH WILL CONCLUDE SEASON 1! However, instead of reaching a conclusion, the series is entering its most chaotic phase since the beginning of the season. More secrets are revealed, more relationships are on the verge of collapse, while the conflict between the two families shows no sign of ending. With only one episode remaining, will the series have enough time to resolve the crucial plot points, or will it leave a host of unanswered questions for season 2? Who will gain control of the ranch? What will be the fate of Joaquin, Rob Will, Beth, Rip, and Carter? Will the Jackson family’s biggest secret truly be revealed? All will be answered in the final episode – the episode expected to be the biggest hit of the season and usher in the next chapter of Dutton Ranch.

As Dutton Ranch races toward the end of its debut season, Paramount+ has confirmed that only one episode remains before the first chapter of Beth and Rip’s new adventure comes to a close. The season finale is scheduled to premiere on Friday, July 3, wrapping up what has become one of the biggest additions to Taylor Sheridan’s expanding Yellowstone universe.

Unlike most Sheridan series—including Landman, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and 1923, which typically release on Sundays—Dutton Ranch has followed a unique Friday release schedule, giving it its own spotlight each week on Paramount+.

Dutton Ranch renewed for season 2 by Paramount+

The series has quickly established itself as the most direct continuation of Yellowstone since the flagship drama ended in 2024. While Marshals follows Kayce Dutton into an entirely different style of story, Dutton Ranch picks up the lives of Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, exploring what happens after they leave Montana behind to begin a new chapter on a Texas ranch.

That change of scenery has become one of the show’s defining elements. Rip struggles to adapt to the unfamiliar landscape and culture of Texas, while Beth remains exactly who fans remember—fearless, confrontational, and unwilling to let anyone stand in her way. Her refusal to back down has fueled much of the season’s conflict, especially after a powerful neighboring ranch owner, portrayed by Academy Award nominee Annette Bening, begins challenging her authority.

Adding even more tension is another neighboring rancher played by Academy Award nominee Ed Harris, creating a volatile power struggle that has steadily escalated throughout the season. Rather than relying solely on nostalgia, the series has expanded the Yellowstone universe with fresh rivalries while keeping Beth and Rip’s relationship at the emotional center of the story.

Dutton Ranch' Renewed for Season 2 After Record-Breaking Debut

The return of Finn Little as Carter has also helped bridge the gap between Yellowstone and its successor. His role as Beth and Rip’s adopted son has given the family dynamic more depth, grounding the series amid its larger ranch wars and political conflicts.

With just one episode remaining, viewers are expecting several major storylines to reach a breaking point. Beth’s battle with her wealthy rivals appears far from settled, Rip faces increasingly difficult decisions about protecting both his family and the ranch, and Carter continues trying to find his place in an unfamiliar world. Many fans also expect the finale to set up the already-confirmed Season 2, leaving enough unanswered questions to launch the next chapter.

Although Season 1 consists of nine episodes, the finale is unlikely to provide complete closure. Instead, it is expected to serve as the foundation for the next phase of the series, especially after reports that Season 2 will undergo significant creative changes following showrunner Chad Feehan’s departure.

Taylor Sheridan's Best 'Yellowstone' Spin-Off Is So Good, It's Already Been Renewed for Season 2

For now, all eyes are on July 3, when Dutton Ranch concludes its first season. Whether the finale delivers shocking twists, emotional farewells, or new enemies for Beth and Rip, it will mark the end of the first chapter in what Paramount+ clearly intends to become one of the cornerstone series of the ever-growing Yellowstone franchise.

It is hilarious to witness the sheer innocence of little Taeha, who casually pointed at the TV and called BTS’s eldest member Jin Uncle Seokjinie, completely unaware of the idol’s massive fame. This heartwarming uncle-nephew bond began in December 2024 during Episode 13 of the show Run Jin; the idol had embarked on a romantic date in his imagination, only to be stunned when his actual date turned out to be a powerful three-year-old toddler. Despite his initial bewilderment, Jin quickly stepped into the role of a devoted babysitter, using strawberry milk and a treasure trove of toys to win the child over. The pair went on to cause all sorts of mischief—from playing at an indoor playground to engaging in a hilarious cold war over a slice of pizza. It was these incredibly authentic moments of clinging, bickering, and comforting each other that cemented the image of the approachable Uncle Seokjinie in the boy’s mind, rather than that of a superstar adored by millions. Naturally, Taeha was utterly astonished to see this familiar face looking so glamorous on television, innocently asking the adults around him why his uncle was so famous.
