Rain recently opened up about family life and parenting during his appearance on the SBS variety program Uh, But Like, Seriously!, sharing both hilarious stories and surprisingly heartfelt thoughts about raising his daughters with wife Kim Tae Hee.

During the broadcast, Rain revealed that no matter how busy his schedule becomes, family always remains his top priority.

“Family always comes first for me,” he explained, adding that he never misses important school events for his children, including sports day activities.

One of the funniest moments came when Rain recalled attending his eldest daughter’s school sports festival alongside actor Jung Suk Won, whose daughter also attends the same school with singer Baek Ji Young.

Rain joked that both he and Jung Suk Won approached the parents’ tug-of-war competition with extreme determination.

“We told ourselves, ‘No matter what happens today, our kids have to win,’” Rain said.

At first, the opposing fathers didn’t appear intimidating, but according to Rain, everything changed once the game actually began.

“Their teamwork was basically at Physical 100 level,” he laughed, referencing the hit Korean survival show Physical: 100.

Rain admitted that he and Jung Suk Won lacked coordination, but became so competitive that they wrapped the rope around their hands and pulled with their entire bodies just to secure victory.

The funniest part, however, came afterward.

While the two celebrity dads celebrated passionately after winning, their daughters reportedly showed almost no interest in the competition and simply continued eating snacks nearby, causing everyone in the studio to burst into laughter.

Beyond the funny parenting stories, Rain also shared a more emotional side when discussing his relationship with his daughters.

When asked whether his children understand how famous their father is, Rain revealed that he intentionally brings them to his concerts because he wants them to see him performing while he is still healthy and active.

“As long as my body is healthy and I can still walk, I want to show them what their dad looks like on stage,” he explained.

According to Rain, his daughters genuinely enjoy watching him perform, making those moments especially meaningful for him as both a father and an artist.

The conversation later shifted toward dating and parenting rules, leading to one of the episode’s most amusing exchanges.

When asked what he would do if one of his daughters brought home a boyfriend, Rain immediately gave a strict answer.

“No dating during middle school or high school,” he declared firmly.

He added that his daughters should only introduce someone to the family once they become adults.
