One of the sweetest moments at this year’s Baeksang Arts Awards didn’t happen on stage — it happened in the audience.
As Hyun Bin was announced as the winner of Best Actor in a Television Drama at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, cameras captured his wife, Son Ye-jin, beaming with pride while recording the moment on her phone.

The heartwarming reaction immediately became one of the night’s most talked-about highlights.
The ceremony, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Bae Suzy, and Park Bo-gum, took place on May 8 at COEX Hall D in Seoul’s Gangnam District and brought together some of the biggest stars in Korean entertainment.
This year’s Best Actor category was especially competitive, with Hyun Bin facing off against major names including Ji Sung, Lee Joon-ho, Park Jin-young, and Ryu Seung-ryong.
Despite the fierce competition, Hyun Bin ultimately claimed the trophy for his performance in Made in Korea.
But while his victory was already a major moment on its own, fans quickly became emotional over Son Ye-jin’s reaction from the audience.
The actress could be seen smiling brightly as she carefully filmed her husband walking toward the stage, visibly unable to hide her happiness and pride. The brief but touching moment instantly spread across social media, with fans calling the couple “adorable,” “supportive,” and “one of Korea’s most beloved celebrity couples.”

Many viewers also pointed out how genuine the moment felt, especially in an industry where celebrities often try to maintain composed public images during award ceremonies.
After taking the stage, Hyun Bin reflected warmly on the filming experience behind Made in Korea.
“When we first started this project, the director told me, ‘Unlike during Harbin, we couldn’t just enjoy ourselves, so this time let’s have fun and enjoy what we couldn’t back then,’” Hyun Bin shared during his speech.
He continued, “Looking back now, the set was intense every day, but it was also enjoyable and happy.”
Fans praised the actor’s calm and sincere acceptance speech, but much of the online conversation continued circling back to Son Ye-jin’s reaction, which many described as “straight out of a romance drama.”

The couple, who married in 2022 and later welcomed their first child, remain one of the most high-profile celebrity couples in South Korea. Because both stars are considered top-tier actors with enormous public popularity, even small interactions between them frequently attract massive attention online.
This year’s Baeksang Arts Awards carried additional significance as it celebrated not only achievements in television and film but also the 60th anniversary of Korean musicals. For the first time, the ceremony introduced a dedicated musical category, expanding the event into an even broader celebration of Korean entertainment and K-content.
Still, amid all the glamorous fashion, emotional speeches, and historic wins, one quiet moment in the audience managed to steal viewers’ hearts completely.
Because sometimes, the most memorable scene of the night isn’t the trophy itself — it’s seeing someone you love proudly recording your biggest moment with a smile they can’t hide.
