“It is the first step toward breaking invisible walls.”

Jo Mijin, secretary-general of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, said this about the group Tomorrow X Together’s participation in a support campaign for children and adolescents.

On the 29th, the Korean Committee for UNICEF held a launch press conference for the global campaign “Together for Tomorrow” at Blue Hole, the organization’s headquarters in Changcheon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, with Tomorrow X Together, or TXT, in attendance. The campaign supports the mental health of children and adolescents around the world.

The campaign is part of a global agreement signed in New York last October by the Korean Committee for UNICEF, UNICEF Headquarters, and BIGHIT MUSIC. It aims to foster a social and cultural environment where children and adolescents can freely express their feelings and ask for help.

At the event, Jo explained that Tomorrow X Together has been singing sincerely for young people through music. She added that she is confident their participation will become a powerful source of healing for children standing at the edge of happiness and despair.

She went on to say that she hopes for a world where people can speak openly about their emotions without hiding them, and where doing so is seen as an act of courage. She also said she believes such a world would provide solid ground for them to dream again. If many people join in with interest and solidarity, she added, children will be able to smile brightly again. She expressed hope that the campaign will reach children around the world.

Together for Tomorrow” campaign will run on the UNICEF Korea Committee website starting on the 29th. Participants can watch the campaign video and take a survey to check their own mental state, giving them time to reflect on their mental health.

TXT is scheduled to appear on the UNICEF Korea YouTube Channel in June and connect with viewers around the world through “Heart-to-Heart Secret Counseling Room,” where they will share viewers’ stories and send messages of support. Funds raised through the campaign will be used for a range of mental health programs for children and adolescents worldwide, as well as training for youth specialists, mental health research, and advocacy efforts. TXT and BIGHIT MUSIC plan to donate about $1.4 million, or 2 billion won, to the campaign and carry out a variety of activities
