A viral post on the Korean online forum Pann is drawing major attention after attempting to connect V and Wonyoung through a series of alleged “couple hints” on social media. However, instead of convincing fans, the theory has sparked heavy backlash online, with many netizens calling the claims exaggerated and delusional.

The original post compiled multiple Instagram uploads from both stars and claimed the two idols have been quietly signaling a relationship through coordinated timing, matching aesthetics, and similar locations.

One of the main points highlighted by the post involved an upscale restaurant in Apgujeong. According to the author, V uploaded a photo taken at the restaurant on August 4, 2025.

while Wonyoung posted a picture from what appeared to be the exact same spot just one day later. The author further argued that the way the two photos were framed — facing toward each other — was intentional and symbolic.

The post also pointed to skincare-related uploads. V shared a selfie wearing a sheet mask on July 3,

while Wonyoung uploaded a similar photo the following day. The author claimed the timing was suspicious and suggested the posts were another hidden connection between the two stars.

Another piece of so-called “evidence” involved the luxury fitness center GIVN Gym in Cheongdam-dong. Both V and Wonyoung have uploaded photos taken at the gym while sitting casually with their phones in hand. The post additionally noted that both celebrities follow the gym’s official Instagram account, implying this could indicate a closer relationship.

The theory continued with claims surrounding Instagram captions. Wonyoung reportedly uploaded a post written in Japanese, and V followed with his own Japanese-captioned upload just three hours later. The Pann author argued that the timing was too specific to be coincidence.

Finally, the post attempted to connect the two idols through color themes, claiming both Instagram feeds had recently focused heavily on red and black aesthetics.

“They’re going this far trying to get people to notice them so let’s give them the recognition they’re asking for!” the original poster wrote.

Despite the detailed thread, many Korean netizens reacted negatively and criticized the post for attempting to create dating rumors out of ordinary social media activity. The comments section quickly filled with harsh responses mocking the theory and defending both idols.

One commenter wrote, “The Japanese thing is a total stretch. He’s always posted about restaurants and fine dining anyway, and that gym has tons of celebrity members.”

Another said, “This should honestly be banned. It’s genuinely weird.”

Others criticized the culture of obsessively linking celebrities together through vague coincidences, with several users calling the post “delusional” and “pathetic.”

The reaction reflects growing frustration among many K-pop fans regarding speculative dating rumors based entirely on social media patterns, especially when no concrete evidence exists. Similar theories involving idols often spread rapidly online whenever celebrities post from similar places, wear comparable outfits, or upload content within a short timeframe.

Neither HYBE nor Starship Entertainment has commented on the viral speculation, and there is currently no evidence suggesting that V and Wonyoung are romantically involved.

For now, the viral Pann post appears to have generated more criticism toward obsessive fan speculation than actual support for the dating rumor itself.
