After years of waiting, Wanna One have finally reunited on stage, giving fans an emotional reminder of just how powerful their legacy remains.
The project group made their long-awaited return at KCON LA 2026 on August 14, marking their first KCON performance since 2017. Nine members took part in the special reunion, while Kang Daniel, who is currently completing his mandatory military service, and Lai Kuanlin, who is focusing on his directing career in China, were unable to attend.

Even without all 11 members, the reunion instantly became one of the most talked-about moments of the festival.
The special performance was part of Wanna One’s highly anticipated reunion activities, which began earlier this year through the reality program Wanna One Go: Back to Base. Seeing the members once again sharing the same stage brought back memories of the group’s peak years and sent longtime fans into an emotional frenzy.
The members performed several of Wanna One’s biggest hits together, with fans describing the performance as one of the most unforgettable moments of KCON LA 2026.
For many fans, the emotional impact came from simply seeing the members standing side by side again.
After years of separate careers, different agencies and completely different paths, the sight of Wanna One performing together once more felt almost like a time capsule being opened.

Fans on Korean online communities expressed their excitement:
“It’s so nice seeing them perform on stage again after such a long time. I hope they hold a concert someday…”
“Wow, they’re incredible. This photo looks like it was taken during their peak era.”
“Wanna One…”
“I really want them to hold a solo concert. I want to see them perform in person too.”
“Our One, this is just the beginning for you. Please hold a concert in Korea too.”

Although this was not a complete 11-member reunion, fans largely chose to celebrate what they were given rather than focus on the missing members.
And perhaps that is what made the moment even more emotional.
Wanna One were originally created through Produce 101 Season 2 and became one of the defining groups of their generation before disbanding in 2019. Their relatively short career only made their impact more remarkable, with their songs, performances and fandom continuing to hold a special place in K-pop history.
Now, nearly a decade after their original KCON era, the members are once again standing together under the Wanna One name.
Eight years later, the members may have changed — but the feeling of seeing Wanna One on stage again clearly hasn’t.
And after this reunion, fans have one request on everyone’s mind:
Give us the full Wanna One concert.
