New details surrounding Hayden Panettiere’s final years are emerging as a former neighbor claims she witnessed the actress being carried from her apartment on a stretcher twice — and says those moments left her deeply concerned about Panettiere’s relationship with Brian Hickerson.

Mia Terrazzas, who lived in the West Hollywood apartment complex where Panettiere previously resided, told Page Six that she saw firefighters remove the actress from the building on two separate occasions. The first incident reportedly occurred on July 29, 2023, and the second on January 16, 2024.

Terrazzas said Panettiere appeared to have red marks and what she described as bruising during those incidents. She also claimed Hickerson was closely associated with Panettiere on both occasions, prompting the neighbor to worry that the actress may have suffered physical harm.

Her daughter, Vileena Koneru, reportedly witnessed the January 2024 incident and confirmed that she and her mother tried to alert emergency responders.

During one of the incidents, Terrazzas recalled approaching Panettiere while she was lying on the stretcher and asking whether she was okay. According to the neighbor, the actress said that she was.

But Terrazzas said what happened inside the apartment was even more troubling. She claimed she frequently heard intense arguments and recalled one occasion when Panettiere yelled at Hickerson to leave her alone. The neighbor said she never knew exactly what had triggered the confrontation.

The allegations are particularly significant because Hickerson has a documented history of domestic-violence cases involving Panettiere. In 2021, he pleaded no contest to two felony counts of injuring a spouse or cohabitant and was sentenced to 45 days in jail, four years of probation, domestic-violence classes and restitution.

Panettiere also obtained a five-year protective order against him. That order reportedly expired in April 2026.

Yet, according to Terrazzas, Hickerson continued appearing at the apartment complex despite the restrictions. She said residents repeatedly contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department about his presence and recalled one occasion when he was removed from the property, only to allegedly return the following day.

Terrazzas also claimed that building management circulated notices in August 2025 warning residents that Hickerson was allegedly trespassing and advising them to call 911 if they saw him in common areas.

The neighbor said the notices disappeared about a week later. When she attempted to put them back up, she claimed management told her Hickerson was no longer considered a threat because he was reportedly undergoing drug rehabilitation.

Terrazzas became emotional while remembering Panettiere, describing the actress as warm and kind but saying she appeared increasingly withdrawn over time. She also claimed Panettiere seemed noticeably different when Hickerson was around.

However, the neighbor emphasized that she never personally witnessed Panettiere or Hickerson using drugs.

The allegations come as investigators continue examining the circumstances surrounding Panettiere’s death. The actress was found unresponsive at a South Carolina apartment on August 16. Preliminary autopsy findings reportedly found no traumatic injuries that would explain her death, while toxicology testing remains pending.

Authorities have not officially determined whether drugs played a role, and Hickerson has not been charged with causing Panettiere’s death. No arrest has been reported in connection with the death.

Hickerson’s brother, Zach, has separately described the moments when Panettiere was discovered unconscious. He said he became concerned after being unable to reach Hayden or Brian and eventually went to the apartment. After Brian woke up, the two reportedly checked on Panettiere and found her unresponsive. Zach said emergency services were called and that Narcan and CPR were administered while they waited for first responders.

Those accounts, together with Vogel’s recent doubts about Brian Hickerson’s version of events, have intensified public interest in what happened during Panettiere’s final hours.

For now, however, many of the claims surrounding her relationship with Hickerson remain allegations or recollections from people close to the situation. The official cause and manner of Panettiere’s death remain unresolved as investigators await additional testing.
