The shocking incident, which he recounted in a recent video, nearly cost him his life and left many fans deeply shaken.

Hyunwoo explained that the frightening event occurred while he was staying in Jeju for some personal downtime. Wanting to rest and recharge, he had booked a guesthouse in a quiet area away from the busy tourist spots. As evening approached and the sun began to set, he decided to look for a nearby place to eat. He found a kalguksu restaurant that happened to be one of the only establishments still open in the area at the time.

When he entered the large restaurant, he noticed that it was nearly empty except for a single middle-aged man who appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Hyunwoo chose a seat one space away from the man. It quickly became apparent that the situation inside was tense. The drunk man was loudly yelling at a waitress, and his aggressive tone made the atmosphere extremely uncomfortable. Hyunwoo soon realized that the waitress was a foreign worker who seemed to be struggling to understand the man’s orders. The language barrier only appeared to fuel the man’s frustration, and he continued to shout and curse at her.

As the situation escalated, the restaurant staff began glancing toward Hyunwoo, seemingly hoping he might step in to calm things down. Feeling uneasy but wanting to help, Hyunwoo politely intervened.
