SH0CKING REVEAL: Director Dallas Jenkins has officially confirmed that the entire script for Season 7, the final season of “THE CHOSEN”, is complete. However, beneath the cast’s excitement upon reading the script lies a high-pressure logistical challenge regarding a particularly thorny obstacle facing the upcoming production.

Dallas Jenkins has officially confirmed that the complete script for Season 7 of THE CHOSEN, the final chapter of the globally popular series, has been finished. While the cast has expressed excitement and emotional reactions after reading the scripts, the production team is now facing the difficult task of bringing the final season to life while managing the major challenges that come with creating such an ambitious conclusion.

As the series moves closer to its ending, actors Abe Bueno-Jallad and Noah James recently opened up about their experiences working on THE CHOSEN, discussing the storylines they wished the show had explored further, their thoughts on the creative decisions behind the series, and their feelings about approaching the final season.

Noah James, who portrays Andrew in the show, explained that his personal preferences in storytelling do not always perfectly align with the direction THE CHOSEN has taken. However, he believes the creative team has consistently made the right choices when shaping the overall story.

“I think that sometimes, my personal taste of a show or art — I differ somewhat sometimes from THE CHOSEN, but I think THE CHOSEN’s always been right in the way they’ve done it,” James shared.

Abe Bueno-Jallad, who plays Big James, agreed with that perspective and admitted that he has also had his own ideas about how certain storylines could have been handled differently. He revealed that during Season 4, he personally would have enjoyed seeing a more intense “spy game, thriller” atmosphere, explaining that he is naturally drawn toward darker and more dramatic elements within a story.

However, James pointed out that this difference in perspective is exactly why the creators and writers must guide the series. According to him, the actors experience the story from inside the scenes, but the production team has the responsibility of looking at the complete seven-season journey and making sure every part of the larger narrative develops properly.

“That’s also why it’s important that they run the show,” James explained. “We know what it feels like on the inside of the scenes, but a lot of the times, the things that we might be pushing for, they’re like, ‘You guys, we have seven seasons. We have to navigate that arc correctly.’ And they’ve done a really good job with it.”

Although the actors were unable to reveal many details about Season 7, Bueno-Jallad offered a glimpse into the challenges of bringing together years of storytelling. He said he is interested to see how the writers will bring back and connect certain elements that have been introduced throughout the series while creating a meaningful conclusion.

“I’m just always wondering how they’re going to activate certain components of [the story] to wrap in things we’ve already built,” Bueno-Jallad said.

For Noah James, the final season carries a unique emotional weight because the ending of the series represents two very different experiences at the same time. While the actors know their journey with the show is approaching its conclusion, their characters are facing a story centered around events that lead to transformation, hope, and renewal.

“It’s an unusual thing because the show will be nearing its conclusion for us as human beings and as actors,” James explained. “We know that our time is coming to an end, as completely juxtaposed with [our characters] feeling like their time has come to an end, and then having the resurrection and then having the joy…that brings in their lives. So, it’s going to be a really bittersweet season, I think.”

Dallas Jenkins has also recently discussed the progress of Season 7 during a livestream with fans. He confirmed that the scripts have been completed but explained that the team is still making adjustments based on practical concerns such as budget and filming schedules.

The Chosen' actor on Season 6: 'I've never seen the cast so focused'

“The scripts are done, and we’re making some adjustments for budget and for schedule,” Jenkins said.

He also emphasized that the final season will require another extended period of production, as the team wants to make sure the conclusion matches the significance of the entire series.

“This is going to be another long season of filming for us. We want to finish strong. We want to land the plane in a very beautiful way,” Jenkins shared.

The showrunner also revealed that reactions from the cast and early script readers have been extremely positive. According to Jenkins, many responses have included messages filled with excitement, tears, joy, and appreciation for the direction of the final season.

“We have the responses to the scripts from the cast and from some of those who’ve been reading them. So far, I’m getting texts of just excitement and tears and joy and beauty and all these things that I think you’re going to see in Season 7,” he said.

As THE CHOSEN approaches its final chapter, the cast members have also been reflecting on how dramatically the series has grown since its early days. George Xanthis, who portrays John, remembered the humble beginnings of the project and how far it has come.

“I remember when we had five fans and a table on some dirt. It’s not lost on me how lucky we are,” Xanthis said.

He added that the success of the series comes from its ability to tell a deeply human story that connects with people across different backgrounds and cultures.

“It gives you an idea of how this show has resonated for so many different people,” he explained. “It’s telling a human story. When things are human, they’re in touching distance.”

Although fans will eventually have to say goodbye to THE CHOSEN, the journey is not over yet. Viewers still have Seasons 6 and 7 ahead, with the final season expected to deliver an emotional conclusion that honors the characters, the actors, and the millions of people who have followed the series around the world.
