THE Real Housewives of Montana has been secretly in the works as Bravo is searching for women with Yellowstone-like ‘old money,’ The U.S. Sun has learned.
Montana may be known for cowboys, cattle and wide-open spaces – but Bravo is reportedly eyeing to showcase a very different kind of wild west.
The Real Housewives franchise could soon be trading its champagne-fueled Beverly Hills parties for sprawling ranches and the billion-dollar playground tucked into Montana’s mountains.
The U.S. Sun has learned that a Real Housewives of Montana series is secretly in the works, with the production team behind The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Orange County searching for a cast in the increasingly wealthy Gallatin County.
A source exclusively spilled to The U.S. Sun: “The team that produces RHOBH and RHOC is in the weeds of making a Real Housewives of Montana happen.
“They are focusing on Gallatin County which has become one of the fastest growing and wealthiest suburbs in the country.”
The insider went on to explain: “There’s a big tech boom there so they are looking for a mix of outsiders who moved there for work, but also old money that have been there for generations.
“The Yellowstone Club is there, which is an extremely prestigious, and expensive, members-only country club that they are hoping to film at.
“They want a real, authentic friend group that already has a deep history with each other.
“They’d like to find a solid cast by the end of the year and start test shooting in early 2027.”
Gallatin County sits in the heart of southwest Montana, with Bozeman serving as its main city and the Rocky Mountains providing a picturesque backdrop to the town.
The money gets particularly serious around Big Sky, where Montana’s rustic image collides spectacularly with luxury real estate.
Big Sky has become Montana’s most expensive real estate market, with a median listing price of roughly $3 million as of December 2025.
The area’s pricey membership-only Yellowstone Club is exactly the kind of location that could make Bravo executives’ eyes light up as it serves as a local playground for the ultra-wealthy.
In other words, this community Bravo is looking for isn’t exactly the Montana of your average family road trip.
The area has also become a magnet for wealthy transplants, making it particularly ripe for the kind of social collision that fuels a Housewives franchise: old money with deep local roots rubbing shoulders with new money who have just moved in.
That divide could give Bravo the exact ingredient it has been chasing: women who actually know one another, rather than a group assembled solely because they happen to live in the same zip code.
And Montana’s transformation into a television-friendly destination has been accelerated by one very obvious culprit – Yellowstone.
The Paramount franchise, which follows Kevin Costner‘s fictional Dutton family and their sprawling Montana ranch, turned the state’s rugged landscapes into some of television’s most recognizable scenery.
The so-called “Yellowstone effect” has been particularly noticeable around Montana’s ranching and resort communities, with tourism officials and businesses reporting increased interest from people inspired by the series.
Now Bravo appears to be looking to capitalize on that fascination from an entirely different angle.
Bravo has not yet commented on the potential latest installment of the Housewives franchise but are always openly searching for the next addition for the franchise.
