EUPHORIA MADE A MAJOR MISTAKE WITH CASSIE’S CHARACTER. A scene from the show is facing intense backlash after pushing Cassie beyond real-world boundaries for the sake of entertainment. It has raised serious concerns about violating strict content rules, and viewers are being urged to stay aware and not get swept up in the character’s fictional world.

Euphoria likes to court controversy, and Sydney Sweeney is no stranger to the word, either. So, it’s no surprise that Cassie’s latest storyline in Euphoria has left a lot of people talking. In the first few episodes of Season 3, Cassie was seen pursuing a career on OnlyFans in order to save money for the wedding of her dreams.

However, this is one of those instances where fantasy goes way farther than reality. That’s right, RadarOnline is reporting from experts that some of her scenes on the show are too much even for OnlyFans.

What exactly would be banned? Online adult platforms are being severely restricted these days as new laws banning materials involving adults pretending to be under 18 are put into place. And that’s exactly what Sydney Sweeney’s character does in Euphoria, as she takes pictures in explicit photos dressed like a baby.

Euphoria creator responds to viewers over Sydney Sweeney's 'absurd' scenes

The outlet reported that this would go against rules governing adult content and would “most likely” get Cassie booted off OnlyFans.

“What we are seeing here crosses into a category that platforms explicitly prohibit – even if framed as fiction or performance. The policies are designed to remove ambiguity, and any suggestion of underage role play is treated as a serious breach due to fears it plays to the worst fantasies of pedophiles.”

OnlyFans’ Acceptable Use Policy explicitly prohibits any “illegal activity, including actual, claimed or role-played: exploitation, abuse or harm of individuals under the age of 18; incest; bestiality; necrophilia; rape or sexual assault; and any conduct that promotes terrorism.”

Sydney Sweeney OnlyFans Controversy After Euphoria

And enforcement in platforms is very strict. “There is a clear framework now,” they said. “Content that appears to blur lines around age, consent or harm is flagged quickly. In cases like this, the material would likely be removed immediately, and repeated violations could lead to account suspension or permanent bans.”

Basically, what Euphoria is showing us is very much fictional. “Television can explore controversial themes within a controlled environment, but platforms hosting user-generated material operate under very different constraints. What might be acceptable storytelling on screen does not translate into permissible content online,” an expert said.

“Regulations are tightening globally,” they added. “In the UK, proposed changes around ‘age play’ content signal a broader shift. Platforms are under pressure to demonstrate that they are proactively removing anything that could be interpreted as exploitative or harmful.”

However, a lot of the other content Cassie created would very much be acceptable, including any adult role play without reference to minors. A specific photo shoot of Cassie in the show features Cassie licking a melting ice cream cone as the ice cream drips down her bare chest and Cassie, completely naked and wearing a backwards baseball cap with her hands between her legs in a V. Plus, there’s another instance of Cassie, fully drenched and wearing a sheer American flag.

Sam Levinson, creator of Euphoria, defended this storyline for Cassie, telling The Daily Beast, “What we wanted to always find is the other layer of absurdity that we’re able to tie into it so that we’re not too inside of her fantasy or illusion—the gag is to jump out, to break the wall.”
