During a recent livestream, creator Dallas Jenkins shared behind-the-scenes images and exclusive details about these projects, offering viewers a glimpse of the dramatic stories that are coming next.

Among all the announcements, The Chosen Season 6 attracted the most attention because it will focus on the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry. The upcoming season will portray some of the most emotional and significant moments in the Gospel narrative, including Judas’ betrayal, Jesus’ arrest, His trials before Jewish leaders and Pontius Pilate, and ultimately His crucifixion. The first six episodes are expected to arrive in fall 2026, while the final two episodes are planned for theatrical release in spring 2027.

New behind-the-scenes images reveal that Season 6 will explore the tension surrounding Jesus’ arrest. Scenes show Judas identifying Jesus with a kiss, Roman and temple guards taking Jesus away, and Jesus being questioned by Caiaphas, the Sanhedrin, and Pilate. The images also suggest that the series will not only focus on Jesus’ suffering but will also follow the fear and confusion experienced by His disciples as they attempt to escape arrest.

One of the most important parts of the season will be the crucifixion. The production has released several images related to Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified alongside two criminals. The animated movie David is also moving forward after facing production challenges. Originally developed with Angel Studios, the project later changed direction following legal disputes, with Slingshot Studios partnering with 5&2 Studios to complete the film and seek distribution. A preview clip shows David collecting a stone from a stream before approaching the Israelite camp at the Valley of Elah, where his legendary battle with Goliath will take place.
