The decision to film part of the final season in Utah carried deep emotional weight for many involved. Several cast members took to social media to share their farewells to the state that had become a second home over the past six years.

Jordan Walker Ross, who plays Little James and hails from Arlington, Texas, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram: “I started filming in Utah six years ago for Season 2 of The Chosen. Yesterday was my last day in Utah for Season 7, our final season. So many great memories here — and they flew by in the blink of an eye. We still have a lot more to shoot in Texas but it’s sad to say goodbye to this place.”

Abe Bueno-Jallad, who portrays Big James and is originally from El Paso, also reflected on the profound impact of filming in Utah. “Thank you Utah and goodbye. Six years of filming this show amidst these beautiful landscapes has impacted my life in ways only my own eyes can describe,” he wrote.
