A new allegation from Hayden’s mother, Lesley Vogel, has added another complicated detail to the public picture of the actress’s relationship with Brian Hickerson. According to a report from Page Six, Vogel claims Hickerson pawned some of Hayden’s personal belongings before her death, including a vintage guitar.

The allegation does not directly explain what happened on the day Hayden died, but it raises new questions about control, trust and the circumstances surrounding the actress during a difficult period in her life.

Vogel said she discovered the situation when she visited Hayden in Los Angeles the previous year. At the time, she described her daughter as struggling with serious physical pain and health issues.

What shocked her most, according to Vogel, was learning that Hickerson — who had filed for bankruptcy in 2022 — had allegedly taken some of Hayden’s belongings and pawned them.

Even more surprising, Vogel claimed Hayden herself was also shocked after discovering that some of her possessions were being kept inside Hickerson’s storage unit.

The detail is significant because it suggests that, according to Vogel’s account, Hayden may not have been fully aware of where some of her personal property was located.

A separate source reportedly confirmed that Hickerson had pawned some of Hayden’s belongings, adding another layer to the allegation.

However, Hickerson’s side has not publicly responded to the specific claims about the possessions.

His attorney, Sloan Ellis, declined to provide additional comments beyond a previous statement regarding Hayden’s death. Ellis previously said:

His brother, Zach Hickerson, who was also reportedly at the scene, has defended Brian’s actions. Zach claimed Brian attempted to save Hayden after finding her unconscious by performing CPR and administering Narcan, a medication commonly used to reverse opioid overdoses.

Narcan was reportedly found at the scene.

“There are a lot of assumptions, speculations and accusations currently swirling,” Zach said.

He argued that the truth would eventually become clear as the investigation continued.

The latest allegations also bring renewed attention to the complicated history between Hayden and Brian.

The couple began dating in 2018, but their relationship was marked by serious controversy. Hickerson had previously been arrested multiple times in connection with domestic violence allegations involving Hayden.

The actress later wrote about abuse she experienced in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning.

Another troubling account came from Hayden’s former neighbor, Mia Terrazas, who told Page Six that she witnessed Hayden being removed from her West Hollywood apartment by firefighters on two occasions while she was living with Hickerson.

According to Terrazas, those incidents happened on July 29, 2023, and January 16, 2024.

She claimed she saw “bright red spots” and “bruises” on Hayden and said Brian was present and “glued to” her during those moments.

“It appeared that she had been beaten up,” Terrazas said.

She also claimed Hayden often appeared “battered.”

However, these statements remain allegations from a witness and have not been confirmed by official findings.
