Technically, Elsa Dutton died in the prequel series 1883. However, Isabel May has continued providing voiceovers in both 1923 and the original Yellowstone, symbolizing Elsa’s lasting legacy on the family.

Fans are hoping for something more substantial in Dutton Ranch — perhaps a vision, a dream sequence, or a symbolic appearance that ties the Texas chapter back to the family’s origins. 1. Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes)

Of course, the number one most-requested crossover is Beth’s brother, Kayce Dutton.

As the star of the other active Yellowstone spin-off Marshals, Kayce feels like the most natural fit for Dutton Ranch. Director Greg Yaitanes told Collider that both casts have expressed interest in appearing on each other’s shows.

“We talked about that a lot because each wanted to be on the other show. I feel like Kayce should go to Dutton Ranch. That feels like something that I would lose my sh*t over as a fan. That would be pretty cool.”

Kelly Reilly has also fueled the speculation. In an interview with People magazine earlier this year, she said:

“I’m so proud of Luke, and we love him so much, and I miss him. I wish we had a crossover. Maybe we will in the future.”
