By falsely accusing his younger brother of “blood poisoning” to block the life of a patient in critical condition, the greedy individual never imagined that the national health data card would turn him into a criminal right in the hospital lobby.

“Cross his name off the donor registry immediately! My brother doesn’t need his blood—he’s an alcoholic with contaminated blood, and I won’t let him poison my little brother!”

My older sister, Victoria, practically shouted at the Chief Hematologist, Dr. Alistair, slamming her hand onto the intake desk of the hospital’s bone marrow and blood transfusion unit.

It was a nightmare situation. Our youngest brother, Leo, was lying in the Intensive Care Unit, suffering from acute, severe aplastic anemia. His body was failing rapidly, and he desperately needed an immediate, precise blood and granulocyte transfusion to survive the night while waiting for a marrow match.

Knowing time was running out, I rushed to the hospital from work, eager to be tested as a donor. But Victoria had arrived first, driven by a long-standing, bitter jealousy over our late father’s estate, which Dad had left equally to Leo and me while excluding her due to her chronic financial fraud. Victoria knew that if Leo passed away without an heir, his share of the multi-million-dollar trust would default to her as the eldest sibling.

The moment I stepped into the Hematology lobby, Victoria blocked my path, physically standing in front of the double doors leading to the consultation rooms.

“Get out of here!” Victoria hissed, her voice dripping with venom as she shoved my chest backward. “You aren’t touching Leo! I already told the medical board that you have a history of heavy substance abuse and bloodborne diseases. You are completely disqualified!”

“What are you talking about, Victoria?!” I shouted, trying to step past her. “I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, and I’ve never been sick a day in my life! I haven’t even been screened by a doctor yet! Let me talk to Dr. Alistair!”

“I am his legal healthcare proxy while he is unconscious, and I say NO!” Victoria shrieked, motioning for two nearby hospital security guards. “Officers, this man is aggressive and unstable! Keep him away from the doctor and out of this wing!”

The two security guards immediately stepped in, forming a wall between me and the doctor’s office, escorting me toward the waiting room chairs while Victoria rushed back into Dr. Alistair’s office, attempting to sign paperwork to proceed with an unmatched, highly risky donor pool option that had a low chance of success.

Sitting in the waiting room, surrounded by security, I refused to give up. I pulled out my phone, logged into my official state health portal, and downloaded my verified, notarized digital medical records—including my recent comprehensive blood panel, universal donor registration, and certified health clearance from my annual corporate physical.

Twenty minutes later, Dr. Alistair stepped out into the main waiting hall, holding a clipboard, looking visibly stressed as Victoria hovered right at his elbow like a hawk.

“Dr. Alistair!” I yelled, standing up despite the guards putting their hands on their belts. “Please, just look at my official state medical records on this phone! My sister is lying to you! She never let you screen me!”

Victoria turned ghost-white, glaring at me with pure hatred. “Ignore him, Doctor! He forged those documents! We need to proceed with the secondary donor pool right now before Leo slips further!”

Dr. Alistair held up his hand, imposing silence. He walked directly over to me, took my phone, and spent two quiet minutes carefully reviewing the certified state health records and my digital ID.

As he scrolled through the data, Dr. Alistair’s face transformed from professional fatigue into cold, sharp fury. He turned slowly toward Victoria.

“Ms. Victoria,” Dr. Alistair said, his voice dropping into an icy, razor-sharp tone that echoed across the quiet waiting room. “You informed my team under oath thirty minutes ago that your brother had been screened, disqualified by an external clinic, and possessed an incompatible rare antibody profile.”

“I… I was just protecting Leo!” Victoria stammered, her voice cracking as her face drained of all color. “I had reasonable doubts about his lifestyle!”

“You didn’t have doubts; you committed outright medical fraud and attempted to obstruct critical emergency care,” Dr. Alistair declared coldly. “Not only are his official records impeccably clean, but according to our hospital’s centralized genetic registry from his blood drive three years ago, he carries the exact, highly specific HLA-antigen marker match that Leo desperately needs for this emergency transfusion.”

The waiting room fell dead silent.

Dr. Alistair looked directly at the security guards. “Officers, this woman lied to hospital staff to intentionally deny a critical donor access to a dying patient. Please remove her from the Hematology wing immediately and detain her for the hospital legal team.”

“What?! No! You can’t do this to me!” Victoria shrieked, her arrogant composure completely shattering as the two security guards seized her arms, snapping handcuffs around her wrists. “I’m his sister! I have healthcare proxy!”

“Your proxy authority is revoked effective immediately under emergency medical ethics protocols due to malicious endangerment,” Dr. Alistair countered, holding up a revocation form. “Your actions will be reported directly to the District Attorney’s office.”

Victoria wept hysterically, screaming obscenities as the guards dragged her down the hall, her disgraceful scheme completely exposed in front of the entire medical staff.

Dr. Alistair turned to me, offering a firm, deeply respectful handshake. “I am so sorry for the delay. Your blood profile makes you the ideal candidate for immediate evaluation and transfusion. Let’s get you prepped right now.”

Within thirty minutes, I was lying comfortably in the donation chair next to Leo’s room, giving the life-saving transfusion my brother so desperately needed. The procedure went flawlessly, Leo’s vitals stabilized by morning, and the malicious sister who tried to sacrifice his life for money was facing severe criminal charges behind bars.
