“Receiving unexpected and overwhelming attention and support, I’ve been spending each day with gratitude,” he began. “Watching myself on broadcast made me realize how much I lack, and I’ve come to believe I must become a better person.”

Kyungsoo from Season 31 of ‘I Am Solo (SOLO)’ publicly supported and encouraged his girlfriend Soonja, who experienced bullying on the show.

“Receiving unexpected and overwhelming attention and support, I’ve been spending each day with gratitude,” he began. “Watching myself on broadcast made me realize how much I lack, and I’ve come to believe I must become a better person.”

He continued, “Of course, some scenes were edited for the show’s entertainment and direction, and there are moments I wish to clarify, but I think all those scenes—whether regrettable or joyful—were ultimately reflections of myself.”

He particularly emphasized, “I want to express my gratitude to the PDs, directors, and countless production staff who endured the harsh winter winds with me and helped create this wonderful broadcast. Additionally, I sincerely thank the viewers who believed in Season 31’s Kyungsoo and watched with warm eyes despite countless misunderstandings.”

In his closing message, Season 31’s Kyungsoo wrote, “Lastly, to Da-eun. I know this is too personal, so I understand if you’re okay with me writing this at the end. It’s embarrassing, but thank you for believing in me from start to finish, and I’m sorry. You must have suffered a lot while watching the broadcast. Let’s meet more beautifully in the future,” publicly cheering for his girlfriend Soonja, now his “hyunkkeo” (couple).

In the recent broadcast of Season 31, the program’s first-ever incident of bullying among female cast members shocked viewers. Oksoon, Youngsook, and Jeonghee were shown gossiping about and competing against Soonja. This led to heartbreaking moments where Soonja shed tears on air and complained of acute gastric spasms due to stress.

Hello. This is Kyungsoo from Season 31.

A week has passed since the broadcast ended, and I’ve been spending each day with gratitude, receiving unexpected and overwhelming attention and support.

From the moment I received the call to enter the Solo Kingdom until my departure after 5 nights and 6 days, I was fully immersed without a moment to spare. Watching myself on broadcast afterward made me realize how much I lack, and I’ve come to believe I must become a better person.

Of course, some scenes were edited for the show’s entertainment and direction, and there are moments I wish to clarify, but I think all those scenes—whether regrettable or joyful—were ultimately reflections of myself.
