On May 18, MC Mong stunned fans and media outlets after posting a statement on his personal social media account announcing that he would hold a live broadcast at 8 PM with reporters present. According to the rapper, the livestream would serve as his opportunity to personally explain the long list of rumors, scandals, and allegations that have followed him over the past several months.

But what truly exploded online was not simply his promise to defend himself — it was the scale of the accusations he claimed he was prepared to reveal.

MC Mong stated that he planned to expose alleged connections between investigative media programs and outside forces, specifically mentioning MBC’s investigative show “PD Note.” He claimed he would explain “who PD Note has allegedly been colluding with” during their investigations, a statement that immediately sent Korean online communities into speculation mode.

The rapper also escalated the situation even further by claiming he intended to reveal details involving illegal gambling operations tied to powerful individuals. In his statement, MC Mong specifically referenced construction company chairman Cha Jun Young and alleged groups connected to illegal gambling circles, including celebrities supposedly linked to those activities.

His mention of so-called “Baduk-i gambling groups” quickly became one of the hottest trending topics across Korean social media platforms. Back in 2023, MC Mong co-founded entertainment company One Hundred alongside chairwoman Cha Ga Won. However, he later departed from the company in July last year, fueling rumors about internal conflict and power struggles behind the scenes.
