TEARS ON THE COBBLES
Corrie fans in bits as fan-favourite bids dynamic farewell in heart-shattering final scenes
CORONATION STREET viewers are set to be left utterly heartbroken as fan-favourite Nina Lucas makes her emotional exit from Weatherfield after seven unforgettable years.

Goth icon Nina, played brilliantly by actress Mollie Gallagher, is officially closing the chapter on the iconic cobbles in what is being hailed as one of the most tear-jerking goodbye sequences in the ITV soap’s long history.
A newly released sneak-peek clip ahead of her final episode has sent shockwaves through the fandom, leaving devastated viewers clutching their tissues as the character prepares to start a new life away from Manchester.
A HEART-BREAKING FAREWELL
In the agonizingly tender footage, Nina is seen sitting quietly in the cobbles’ memorial garden dedicated to her late boyfriend, Seb Franklin. The heartbreaking scene echoes the tragic 2021 hate crime storyline that gripped the nation and won widespread critical acclaim, where Seb was brutally murdered in a horrifying assault that left Nina fighting for her life.

In the clip, Nina listens tearfully to the exact song she and Seb used to share. In a gut-wrenching moment, Seb’s grieving mother, Abi Franklin, joins her side.
Overcome with survivor’s guilt, Nina breaks down and tries to apologize for being the one who lived while Seb lost his life.
However, a fiercely protective Abi refuses to let her carry that heavy burden any longer. In a powerful, tear-stained moment, Abi tells her: “No, no – don’t you ever say that. Don’t. What happened, it happened. If I could go back in time, there’d be a lot of things I would do different, but not you. Not for one second.”
The duo share a poignant vow to never forget Seb, before Abi departs and Nina takes one last agonizing look at the memorial garden to whisper a final, heartbreaking goodbye to her lost love.

NEW HORIZONS
After nearly seven dedicated years on Weatherfield’s famous cobblestones, Nina’s storyline sees her leaving town to head off to Whitby, where she has landed a dream job at a prestigious art gallery.
Off-screen, talented star Mollie Gallagher is stepping away from the soap to tackle a brand-new professional challenge. The popular actress is set to make her stage debut starring in the high-profile UK and Ireland theatre tour of Silence of the Lambs.
Speaking about her tough decision to say goodbye to the Street, Mollie admitted that walking away from her soap family was far from easy.
“It was a tricky one because I love Corrie so much,” Mollie revealed. “It was a really hard situation, but as an actor, you do want to challenge yourself by trying new things.”
She added: “This new job is completely different because it’s theatre. It was sad – in an ideal world I’d be doing both, but that just wouldn’t work!”

DOOR LEFT OPEN
While fans will undoubtedly be sobbing into their cups of tea as Nina bids farewell to Weatherfield, there is a silver lining for the Corrie faithful. Show bosses have officially confirmed that the door is being left wide open for Nina to make a dramatic return in the future.
Mollie herself has teased that she would jump at the chance to put on Nina’s iconic dark eyeliner once again down the line, admitting she would “love to come back some day.”
For now, Weatherfield bids adieu to one of its most unique and beloved characters. Grab your tissues, folks—it’s going to be an emotional night on the cobbles!
