Production for the upcoming season began in June 2026, marking the continuation of the emotional journey surrounding Maggie Sullivan, Cal Jones, and the people who have become part of their lives at Sullivan’s Crossing. The new season is expected to explore the next chapter of Maggie and Cal’s relationship as they prepare for marriage while facing unexpected challenges, including their new responsibilities as temporary guardians of Tracy.

The announcement comes shortly after season 4 concluded and arrived on Netflix on June 30, giving viewers another opportunity to revisit the emotional twists and turns that shaped Maggie and Cal’s relationship. Based on the bestselling book series by Robyn Carr, the CTV and The CW drama follows Maggie Sullivan, a successful neurosurgeon who returns to her hometown after her life takes an unexpected turn. Once back at Sullivan’s Crossing, she reconnects with her roots and develops a deep connection with the mysterious and compassionate Cal Jones.

Throughout the series, Maggie and Cal’s romance has been tested by difficult circumstances, and season 4 brought one of their biggest challenges yet.
