Fans of The Chosen are getting glimpses into the show’s most intense season yet.
In the newly released sneak peek, the disciples are reeling from Jesus’ arrest when a man named Matthias arrives with critical information. Working for Nicodemus, Matthias tells the group that Nicodemus has convinced the high priest to delay Jesus’ trial.
The news leaves the disciples wrestling with what to do next. Matthias warns them to leave Lazarus’ house and find somewhere unexpected to hide before authorities can locate them and compel them to testify as witnesses.
Yet the conversation quickly turns deeper—some question whether hiding is really the right response.
“We couldn’t stop the arrest, but we could show up for Him in the trial,” one argues. “Maybe that’s how we show our faithfulness.”
Another counters with the bigger picture: “If all of us are in prison, who will go out and spread His message? We have to think beyond the immediate.”
The scene captures the chaos surrounding the disciples as everything they thought they understood unravels. With Jesus in custody, Judas exposed as His betrayer and the threat of arrest hanging over them, the group must decide whether faithfulness means stepping forward or staying hidden for what comes next.
