“The Chosen” has unveiled a scene from its upcoming sixth season.
The biblical drama, based on the life of Jesus, has primarily filmed at Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian since season 3. Ahead of its Nov. 15 premiere on Prime Video, “The Chosen” released its first trailer for season 6 last month.
Series creator Dallas Jenkins shared the season 6 scene, which is from episode 2, at the tail end of a livestream on Sunday, Aug. 23.
‘The Chosen’ season 6 scene revealed
The scene opens with the disciples hiding out at Lazarus’ house after Jesus has been arrested.
As the disciples ponder what to do next, a knock is heard at the door. There stands Matthias, who tells the disciples to get far away from Lazarus’ house.
For those that know the Good Book, Matthias replaced Judas as a disciple after the latter betrayed Jesus.
Matthias is played by actor Jake Sidney Cohen, who has appeared in a handful of episodes of “The Chosen” over seasons 4 and 5. In those appearances, Cohen is credited as “The Watcher/Matthias.”
Check out the scene below at the 2:27:22 mark.
