Jungkook has once again proven why he remains one of the most influential stars in K-pop after topping the latest K-Brand Index individual rankings. Backed by enormous global fan support and relentless social media buzz, the BTS superstar outperformed some of the industry’s biggest names, including G-Dragon, Jennie, Karina, and Jang Wonyoung. The new rankings also highlighted the growing power of individual artists, showing that K-pop’s biggest brands are now being driven not only by groups but also by the personal influence of each idol. As fans celebrate Jungkook’s latest achievement, the results have once again sparked conversations about who truly dominates K-pop’s global popularity race.

Jungkook of BTS officially claimed the No. 1 spot in the latest K-Brand Index rankings for K-pop individuals, reinforcing his unmatched influence across social media and online platforms.
The rankings were released by the Asia Brand Research Institute after analyzing 423,183,352 pieces of online big data collected between June 1 and June 30, 2026. The evaluation focused on the 30 most searched K-pop individuals across major online portals, measuring their overall online brand presence.
Jungkook finished at the top of the list thanks to his consistently strong global fandom and sustained public interest, once again proving that his popularity remains one of the strongest forces in the industry.
Following closely behind him was BIGBANG’s G-Dragon in second place, while aespa’s Karina secured third. BLACKPINK’s Jennie ranked fourth, and RESCENE’s Woni completed the Top 5.

The remainder of the Top 10 featured IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, CORTIS’ Keonho, BTS’s V, ILLIT’s Wonhee, and RESCENE’s Minami, with RESCENE attracting particular attention after placing two members inside the Top 10.
According to Ryu Won Seon, head of the Asia Brand Research Institute, today’s K-pop industry has evolved far beyond a structure centered solely on idol groups.
He explained that an artist’s individual value now plays a major role across multiple areas, including music releases, live performances, short-form content, social media activity, fandom engagement, and digital platform consumption.
Ryu also pointed to Jungkook’s victory as the result of his remarkably stable worldwide fanbase combined with continuous public attention.
Meanwhile, he noted that G-Dragon’s high ranking reflected not only his musical activities but also his growing public image through community-focused projects such as the 818 BLOOM initiative and his role as an ambassador for the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, both of which generated positive attention in the institute’s big data analysis.
The institute emphasized that the rankings are based exclusively on online index data and do not include offline metrics, making the results a reflection of each artist’s digital influence and online visibility during the evaluation period.

For Jungkook, however, the message was clear: despite fierce competition from some of K-pop’s biggest stars across multiple generations, he continues to dominate online attention, proving once again that his global influence remains as powerful as ever.
