The Amazon Prime Video series ‘Off Campus’ is based on the book series of the same name by Elle Kennedy
Warning: This article contains spoilers for Off Campus season 1 and all five of the Off Campus books.
Off Campus already has hearts pounding, and it’s just the beginning!
The young adult romance series, which premiered season 1 on Amazon Prime Video on May 13, is based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off-Campus book series. The franchise consists of five books — four of which center around the love lives of a different player on Briar University’s hockey team.

The first season is adapted from the first book, The Deal, and revolves around the hockey team captain Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) and his relationship with aspiring songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright). The two initially make a deal where Hannah exchanges free tutoring lessons for Garrett pretending to be her boyfriend, making her crush jealous.
However, in true young adult romance fashion, the boundaries get blurry when feelings start to get real. In addition to the first season starring Cameli and Bright as the leads, it also introduces Garrett’s hockey teammates and housemates: John Logan (Antonio Cipriano), John Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks) and Dean DiLaurentis (Stephen Kalyn), along with Hannah’s best friend, Allie (Mika Abdalla).
While the series has been renewed for a second season, it hasn’t been revealed who season 2 will follow. After Kennedy released four books about each of the four boys, she also wrote a fifth book, The Legacy, which flashes forward three years after college graduation to reveal where all the characters stand.
In the meantime, here’s everything to know about who all of the Off Campus characters end up with, in Elle Kennedy’s books.

The Deal is the first book in Kennedy’s Off-Campus book series and centers around the Briar University hockey team captain and “college bad boy,” Garrett, per the book’s description.
While Garrett is prioritizing a career in the NHL, he lets his grade slip and finds himself in danger of losing everything. Before things get out of hand, he asks his intelligent and aspiring musician classmate Hannah Wells for help.
At the same time, Hannah has a major crush on Justin Kohl and thinks that the only way he’ll go for her is if he sees her with another guy who makes him jealous. Hannah and Garrett thus agree to “the deal” where he’ll pretend to date her in exchange for tutoring lessons.
Of course, the deal isn’t nearly as easy in real life as it sounds.
“But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it,” the description reads. “Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.”
Before she knows it, Hannah finds herself in a love triangle with Garrett and Justin. Just when she finally understands her true feelings for Garrett, her potential future with him is destroyed when Garrett’s abusive father confronts Hannah and threatens to end Garrett’s hockey career by cutting him off if she doesn’t break up with him.
Hannah agrees and spends months avoiding Garrett on campus — despite Garrett finding her at every possible moment and questioning her about the breakup. Finally, he tells her that he received an inheritance from his deceased mother’s side of the family and doesn’t need to financially depend on his father anymore.
Hannah then confides in Garrett about what actually happened with his father leading them to make up and get back together.
In The Legacy, Hannah and Garrett are married and have twins.
John Logan

Kennedy’s second book, The Mistake, revolves around Briar University junior John Logan, who is a “player in more ways than one,” per the book’s description.
While the athlete (who goes by Logan) is having a fun time in college filled with parties and hockey games, he unexpectedly crosses paths with freshman Grace Ivers. The two start to develop a fun and flirty romance, but Logan is secretly dealing with struggles of his own.
First of all, he thinks that he may actually have feelings for Hannah — who his best friend Garrett is dating — and is also coming to terms with the fact that he’ll have to take care of his dysfunctional family instead of pursuing a professional hockey career after college.
All of Logan’s complicated emotions come out (in what he later calls “The Mistake”) when he tells Grace that she’s just a distraction and he has no feelings toward her. She subsequently ends things and avoids him for months.
When Logan returns for his senior year, he realizes that he confused his feelings for Hannah and actually yearned for a deep connection like the one she shares with Garrett — similar to the one he had with Grace. Logan relentlessly pursues Grace to no avail, but he proves to her that he’s changed by publicly declaring his love for her on a college radio show.
By the end of The Legacy, it’s revealed that Grace and Logan eloped before she graduated and went on to have a daughter named Blake.
Dean Di Laurentis

In The Score, Dean Di Laurentis is living his best life as a “gorgeous hockey star” at Briar University who has “yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms,” per the description.
However, his plans to have a carefree single senior year come to a halt when he meets Allie Hayes, a fellow senior trying to get over her devastating breakup by having fun with some new guys. Unlike his past plethora of sexual encounters, Dean feels different after he hooks up with Allie and becomes determined to make something more of their one-night stand.
Allie eventually falls for Dean too, and they start exclusively dating. The honeymoon phase takes a turn when Dean is faced with several intense personal challenges — including a troubling past with his ex-girlfriend and the sudden death of his longtime best friend, Beau.
Dean quickly ends up going on a downward spiral and turns to drugs and alcohol as a way to grieve. He stops prioritizing his friendships, relationship and hockey and eventually gets kicked off the team for testing positive for drugs. Allie also breaks up with him.
After losing everything, Dean turns to coaching youth hockey and develops meaningful relationships with the kids. He gets out of his rut and realizes that he wants to pursue a career in coaching, instead of his law aspirations.
While slowly repairing his relationships, Dean apologizes to Allie, and they eventually reconcile. The book ends with Dean and Allie learning that they have both separately decided to move to New York after graduation.
In The Legacy, Dean and Allie are still together, but Allie is hesitant to take the next steps in getting engaged. However, she finally realizes that she wants to be with Dean, so she proposes. They get married and welcome three children together.
John Tucker

John Tucker (who goes by Tucker) has his love story begin even before he’s the focus of the fourth book, The Goal. In the final moments of The Score, Tucker shocks his best friends when he reveals that he is expecting a baby with Sabrina James — who also happens to be Dean’s pre-law rival.
They had a one-night stand during their senior year, and while Tucker wanted something more, Sabrina was determined to focus on herself and get into Harvard Law School.
Sabrina starts to realize she also has feelings for Tucker around the same time she’s accepted into Harvard. Just when she thinks everything is going exactly according to plan, her life gets turned upside down when she discovers that she’s pregnant.
“On the ice, he’s fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer,” the book’s description reads. “It doesn’t hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes.”
Tucker steps up to the plate and does everything he can to be there for Sabrina, but she is still hesitant to let him in. He remains patient and lets her take her time, which is just what she needs to open her heart to him.
As their romance plays out, they eventually welcome a daughter named James Tucker (called Jamie). Meanwhile, Sabrina achieves her goal of attending Harvard Law, while still raising the little one alongside Tucker, who opens a bar.
When The Legacy picks up three years later, Sabrina and Tucker are married with a second daughter. Sabrina graduated from Harvard, and Tucker has expanded his bar empire.
