Jonathan Roumie, the actor known for portraying Jesus in the popular series THE CHOSEN, recently revealed that he had known about the heartbreaking fate of the character Ramah long before viewers discovered it. While fans were shocked by the dramatic events of Season 4, Roumie explained that he had been aware of the storyline years earlier and intentionally included subtle hints throughout his performance. The actor described the moment as almost impossible to notice at first, but meaningful when viewed again after knowing Ramah’s fate. He explained that viewers could now return to that scene and recognize that Jesus’ reaction carried a deeper weight. Ramah’s tragic death became one of the most emotional moments in THE CHOSEN. In Season 4, Episode 3, Ramah is killed by Roman magistrate Quintus, creating a devastating impact on the disciples and the audience.
